Instituitional Review Board

Institutional Review Board (IRB) at IPTC was established as a way to meet with international standards of expectations by protecting human test subjects who are involved in research projects. This will also support researchers and protect the standing of our institution.

With ethical reviews on all research proposals conducted by IPTC’s faculty that involves any human research participants and/or human biological materials.

With the effect from 1 Nov 2017, Singapore has the Human Biomedical Research Act (HBRA) enacted to regulate human biomedical research, as well the handling of human tissues for use in the lab. IPTC’s research institution has been fulfilling this Act.
